Why Are Fitness Peeps So Into Quotes?

I had a great workout this morning w/ my girl Najeha and we got to chatting about why fitness peeps are so into quotes.


I could come up with 2 reasons:

  • We look for inspiration in all things that we do.
  • We need that little bit of motivation to kick our butts some days.

I just polled my boyfriend to see what his thoughts were and his answer was:

“Fitness people love to be inspired and hope to motivate others.”

I thought this hit the nail right on the head. I can’t speak for all fitness peeps but once you “find fitness” one of the main reasons that you keep going, talk about it, become a walking billboard of health is because you hope to motivate at least one person to take control of their health and feel better and take control of their fitness and gain that new found sense of self-confidence.

These are my main quotes that I like to look at from time to time to remind me of what I’m doing and why.

  1. “PAIN IS YOUR FRIEND”~ Inspired by my very first PT..if you’re feeling the pain..it means the job is getting done…….Since beginning to train for my first figure show..I have noticed all the more motivational quotes I see and hear, gets me in the mood and even more excited to work out that much more harder to strive for my achievements..I live for them! 🙂
