2013 Summer Bucket List

I got inspired by the lovely Tone It Up Ladies and their post about making a Summer Bucket List.

Here is mine!

Update my Summer Reading List: to stay on track for my 50 book challenge. Here are the next 13 books I’ll be reading over the summer. Right now I have Lean In on my bedside table and Let’s Pretend This Never Happened on my Kobo. It has me laughing out loud on my subway commute right now.

Make Epic Kebabs: I found a great recipe on BBC Good Food so I’ll probably adapt it and get creative! I’ll post a recipe if they work out and are drool worthy!

Go On A Canoe Trip: Luckily friends from my run club have organized one this summer. Needless to say I’m super excited and want to buy all new gear at Mountain Equipment Coop!

Go To The Drive In Theatre: Polson Pier otherwise known as The Docks has a drive in movie theatre on the weekends so I’ll have to rent a zipcar or wrangle someone with a car to go with me. Convertible preferably 🙂

Drive In

Play Golf: I have clubs. They are just itching to be used more. I’m looking at my friend Shan Kell for this one!

Go On A RoadTrip: Just take off one weekend that is not planned and pick a random destination last minute and go!

These aren’t fitness related (well maybe the golf). I have all my fitness goals being worked on and going strong. It’s time to live a little.

  1. I have already read 5 of those books and they are all FAB. My two faves: “Let’s Pretend This Never Happened” is going to make you laugh out loud on the TTC; “The Light Between Oceans” is a total page turner and will make you cry. “Lean In” has some great, inspiring moments but needs to be taken with a grain of salt or two (also a super quick read). “Gone Girl” was a perfect beach read when I was in Cuba this past February (on my kobo, too!) and “Wild” made me want to pick up and head out to the ACT! The West is great, I’m sure, but I love me some Atlantic Canada. My friend Erin was inspired to do this after reading “Wild” and she blogged about her trip! Be sure to have a look: http://twofitgirls.com/2013/08/19/hiking-the-east-coast-trail-part-1-cappahayden-to-calvert/.

  2. Nice I need to update my summer reading list! I read all those you mentioned above last summer. LPTNH is my favourite. TLBO made me cry and want a baby. LI was definitely good in the first half and ok to read but hard to identify with withou bebes. Loved GG even though it upset me and Wild made me want to hike it out! I’ll check out the blog this afternoon!
