Personal Brand

Personal Brand Definition: Personal branding describes the process by which individuals and entrepreneurs differentiate themselves and stand out from a crowd by identifying and articulating their unique value proposition, whether professional or personal, and then leveraging it across platforms with a consistent message and image to achieve a specific goal. In this way, individuals can enhance their recognition as experts in their field, establish reputation and credibility, advance their careers, and build self-confidence. Source

As a self-branded Alpha Female I’ve had help along the way to direct me on my personal brand growth path. I’ve had the pleasure to attend Fitness Model International (FMI) California LA Conferences in 2009 & 2010 and their inaugural Canadian event in June of 2011. As an alumni I am grateful for what they taught me about growing my personal brand and treating myself as a business.

On March 13th I had the pleasure of giving back to those looking for more information on personal branding and hosted a free webinar called “Growing Your Personal Brand Value”. The webinar can now be found on the FMI Guild website. You can try a 3 day trial for $1. Basically without going to business school this is the Fitness MBA for growing a career in the health & fitness industry but can be applied to other industries as well.

I’ve been asked to expand upon my 30 min webinar and present this October at the annual LA conference!! Woot Woot! As I work on my presentation I wanted to give a shout out to some awesome blog posts over on written by my social media friend Pauleanna Reid.

A Little Guide To Help You Develop & Grow Your Personal Brand: a 5 step process

How to Turn Your Passion Into Profit: a 6 step guide

Simple Strategies to Help Promote Your Brand, Ideas or Products: an 8 step checklist

These blog posts are a great place to start and then head on over to the FMI Guild website and try out the 3 day trial!

Happy Branding!
