October is one of my favourite months! And yes we spell favourites with a u here in Canada 🙂
There are several things I’m absolutely loving and I’ve actually never done a favourites post before so tada… my first October Favourites post. Whether I keep these going every month is yet to be determined but in the meantime, I hope you find some of these things useful or things that may interest you too!
Danielle Laporte’s 2018 Desire Map Planner
This will be my third year purchasing the Desire Map Planner! I’m that in love with it. I absolutely love the weekly edition layout (there is a daily edition too!)
I use the core desired feelings section at the beginning of the planner to remind myself how I want to feel while I go about the year. From there I use my goal digger workbook method (that I created) to map out my long-term and short-term goals for the year. From there each week I use the “ideas. desires. wisdom” page to do a brain dump. The soul prompt page helps me keep life in perspective each week and I usually fill that out Sunday night. Then on the weekly section it asks you to write down your core desired feelings, 3 weekly goals and then I can map out my appointments for the week on the left-hand side of the page and then on the right-hand side of the page I only allow myself to write 3 – 4 to do list tasks for each day of the week.
This planner and my planning process has helped me reduce the overwhelmed immensely in my life.
If you’re based in Ontario this is an amazing monthly meat subscription box. Yeah, you heard that right! MEAT! Sorry my veggies & vegans, skip ahead!
We’ve ordered several times from truLOCAL now and really enjoy the ease of ordering and the quality of meat.
They promise sourcing from local Ontario suppliers, antibiotic & hormone free meat and free run animals. I was sold from the start! Grocery shopping becomes much easier when I only have to figure out which weekly produce to pick up each week.
By using this Referral Code: KHJ2BD9W7MZX you’ll get to add 2 free Striploin Steaks or 4 Wild Caught Alaskan Salmon Filets to your first box!
October Diffuser Blend
We got back from Mike’s family’s cottage this afternoon and I popped this blend into the kitchen diffuser while we got organized for the week. As a planner, I’m not going to lie, this is one of my favourite times of the week where I get to be home with my family and organizing us so we can have epic weeks filled with all our adventures, goals and passion filled projects.
If you’d like to get started with essential oils this month there is an amazing promotion where when you order over 200 PV (points) dõTERRA is offering 3 FREE essential oil bottles. You can snag yourselves a bottle of Citrus Bliss, Balance and Serenity! These emotional blends are everything!
I use them very differently but pretty much every day!
- Citrus Bliss is a staple in my work diffuser to keep me energized.
- I keep Balance in my bedroom and before a trying day at the office, I will swipe this on my feet to make the intention of feeling grounded for the day.
- Serenity is also a staple in the bedroom. When Lavender is just too simple we grab for Serenity and place 2 – 3 drops in the Petal Diffuser in our bedroom and turn on the 2 hour setting to fall asleep to.
