On the Alpha Female Podcast in May & June of 2019, I did a series of interviews on Masculine & Feminine Energy. In episode 159 with Betsy Milne, I asked her about specific habits she does to be in her masculine and feminine energy. She brought up using essential oils so I thought I’d expand upon our conversation with two blog posts.
Here is the post on essential oils for masculine energy.
And this one will focus on feminine energy…
So there isn’t one definition of feminine energy. You can’t look it up in the dictionary. It’s one of the reason’s why I wanted to have different guests on the podcast to share different perspectives around the topic.
Here’s a bit more perspective on what feminine energy is:
I used to explain feminine energy as “be” energy. Which I thought meant being still, silent and peaceful. I’ve come to understand that stillness and silence are actually divine masculine energy. Spending time in feminine energy is so much more than just being. It’s about movement and feeling and nurturing ourselves and others and truly honoring our emotions.
Here is the list of Feminine Energy Qualities according to the Chopra Center:
So if we continue with the principles of like increases like (discussed in last week’s blog post) let’s see which essential oils support the above feminine qualities.
Essential Oils To Support Feminine Energy
Citrus Bliss – Oil of Creativity & Tangerine – Oil of Gladness & Creativity
“When the soul has lost its connection to the magic in life, this [Citrus Bliss] blend helps restore the spark” and “Tangerine invites individuals to make room for their creative side, and asks hat they reinsert fun, joy, and spontaneity into their lives.”
Both of these essential oil bottles are so uplifting when diffused. They are so perfect for placing in the diffuser before working on a project or diving into a creative past time. And my understanding of cultivating more feminine energy involves pursuing more creative past times!
Cedarwood – Oil of Community
“Cedarwood inspires the feeling of belonging and assists the heart in opening to receive the love and support of other people.”
So often when working in masculine energy we get so task-focused and goal-oriented that we forget to look around us at the community that is ready to hold us up. Cedarwood is the perfect oil to pop in the diffuser before an event or in a blend when inviting others over to our homes to gather in community.
ClaryCalm – Oil of Vulnerability
“ClaryCalm encourages warmth in relationships, stabilizes physical and emotional imbalances, and fosters emotional intimacy.”
If you have a menstrual cycle, this oil is amazing at the beginning of our bleeds to support the release of tension in our reproductive organs. How often during your period do you feel the need to share your truths? This could be the perfect blend to roll on your wrists and then inhale deeply before sharing your truth.
Clary Sage – Oil of Clarity & Vision
One of the main oils in the ClaryCalm blend is Clary Sage. “Clary Sage opens the soul to new possibilities and experiences.” One of the positive properties of this essential oil is being open-minded.
Clary Sage just smells like a feminine oil too!
Geranium – Oil of Love & Trust
One of the positive properties of Geranium is being empathetic. “It facilitates trust, especially when individuals have lost trust in others due to difficult life circumstances” and it “encourages emotional honesty, love and forgiveness.”
This is another essential oil that just smells feminine too!
Magnolia – Oil of Compassion
“Magnolia encourages all individuals on a profoundly spiritual level to interact without causing pain or suffering and to refrain from seeing others as somehow less than oneself.”
I love that the top 2 positive properties of Magnolia essential oil are connected and compassionate. It currently comes in a roller bottle from dōTERRA and it’s the perfect essential oil to roll on as PUREfume to be more in this energy during our day.
Manuka – Oil of Being Upheld
In this week’s Alpha Female Podcast episode you’ll hear my guest talk about the fact that for us to be in feminine energy we need a container of support so the feeling of being upheld is so perfect. “Manuka offers energetic safety and shielding from the intense problems all around that individuals feel powerless to change”
Rose – Oil of Divine
Rose allows us to “choose to receive divine love, they are wrapped in warmth, charity, and compassion.” “As the heart fully opens, a foundation of love flows freely through the soul”
In Betsy Milne’s Alpha Female podcast episode, she talks about being in the divine feminine so this is definitely one of the most powerful feminine oils.
Thyme – Oil of Releasing & Forgiving
Last but not least, this herbal essential oil is beautiful for becoming more openhearted and understanding. Thyme “assists in addressing trapped feelings which have been buried for a long time.” If we are looking to be in our feminine energy and feel then we’ve got to feel all the feelings we’ve been suppressing.
