Book Review: Judgment Detox

Book Synopsis:

Release the Beliefs That Hold You Back from Living a Better Life

Judgment – both being judged and judging others – is at the core of much of our discomfort many of our life blocks. Judgement is a reliable crutch when we feel hurt, insecure or vulnerable, but when we judge, our energy weakens and our thoughts darken.

In the Judgment Detox, New York Times bestselling author Gabrielle Bernstein offers an interactive six-step process for dealing with and removing judgment from our lives. Calling on spiritual principles from the text A Course in Miracles, Kundalini yoga, meditation, EFT and metaphysical teachings the six steps include: witnessing your judgment without judgment, honoring the wound, putting love on the altar, seeing for the first time, cutting the cords, and bringing your shadows to light.

For those who struggle with judgment, this is the book that will finally give you permission and freedom to start living a more harmonious, forgiving and loving life.

Why I liked the book:

I have found myself really snapping to quick judgments about people lately. I find my thoughts wrapped up in why or why not people do certain things. It’s exhausting so I needed to become introspective and learn why I’m doing it and how to stop. Because it’s just not fun.

Who I’d recommend this book for:

I’d recommend this to anyone that hasn’t truly figured out what forgiveness means or is finding themselves gossiping, thinking negatively of others or actually saying to themselves “wow that was really judgy of me”. It’s a quick read and has amazing steps laid out that you can do as you read.
