The NEW Definition of an Alpha Female – I’ve updated it after being inspired by 3 of my Alpha Female Friday features!
An Alpha Female is a powerful and assertive woman. Her confidence is due to being an intelligent and intellectual problem-solver. Being an Alpha Female is a State of Mind based on choosing ambition and being proud of it. She strives for a happy and healthy work/life harmony (inspired by Chivon John).
Type A Alpha Females often come across as strong willed and selfish. When we stay true to our authentic selves and stay true to our mission we shine (inspired by Diana House). A true Alpha Female puts the needs of herself first without sacrificing her principles or dignity (inspired by Rebekah Borucki). She fills up her cup or gas tank first so that she has enough energy for her friends, family, and coworkers. A true Alpha Female strives for synergy with the world around her. She wants a perfect work/life balance but knows that it requires being true to your priorities and what makes you happy. She is never complacent about striving for better and nurtures relationships with the people in her life.

How are you an Alpha Female?
I make things happen and I work to help empower others to become their best them possible in business, health and life!
Does work/life balance exist?
Not only does it EXIST, but it is CRITICAL. If you don’t find a way to balance important relationships then your health will suffer. It can be a struggle to find the balance, but making it a priority to find a system that works for you it so important. For me, I have stopped multi tasking and have designated days and times to focus on work related activities and I do the same for my personal development and health as well as time with my daughter and husband. Creating a schedule and boundaries allows me to be more present with who I am with or what I am doing and allows me to accomplish more and maintain balance.
What are you most passionate about?
Simply put, I am most passionate about what I do. I feel so fortunate that I get to work in a field that I love, take care of myself, my family, and my health and it doesn’t feel like “work”. I’ve always been active and enjoyed working out, but never thought I could make a career out of it. I love helping people, being REAL and showing others how to be the best version of themselves. I get to do what I’m passionate about and live it daily.
What are you daily health habits that keep your immune system boosted?
I make sure that I allow ample time to be present with what I need to do so that I am not rushed, overbooked or stressed (which reeks havoc on your immune system!) I also make sure I get 9 hours of sleep (even it that means going to bed at 8 pm some days!). I stay hydrated, I stay active and I eat primarily natural, whole, unprocessed foods. I also keep negativity out of my life as much as possible to help keep me positive and stress free.
What is your weekly fitness routine like?
I am active most every day but my FOCUSED and intense training are 3-4 days a week. I train functionally using primarily my OWN body weight and don’t use machines that isolate. I also do not break up body parts or do long, slow drawn out cardio on machines ever. My favorite exercises are body weight moves like handstand pushups, pull ups, chin ups, sled pull, plyos, sprints and plank based moves.
How do you challenge yourself fitness wise?
I am all about PROGRESSION and training with INTENSITY. I believe in progressing my workouts, and constantly challenging my body. I don’t focus on number of repetitions or amount of time, but rather challenging myself and working towards being STRONGER.
How do you challenge yourself fitness wise?
I turn off all TVs, my phone and I stop looking at social media.
What are your daily habits for winding down at night and reducing stress?
Playing music and time with my daughter and husband. I like to unwind by reading and dimming the lights!
What are you daily/weekly nutrition habits that keep you well nourished?
I am a fan of eating an unprocessed food diet. Basically, if it GREW, I eat it! Natural, real foods are the way to go and THAT is heavily plant based for me. I do not count calories and I do not eat at scheduled intervals. I listen to my body, eat real, natural unprocessed foods and THAT is what I teach and what is on all of my meal programs. I AM gluten free (I am a celiac and need to be), but, what people don’t realize is that if you eat an unprocessed food diet, that IS eating gluten free. There is no gluten in meats, nuts, fruits, vegetables, potatoes or fats. I eat very similar to what is on my 7 Day Jump Start™ Program.
What is your definition of happiness?
Being able to be present, not stressed and able to enjoy your life!
