Alpha Female Friday – Channa Bromley

Every Friday I am going to feature a woman that I adore. They exude all the qualities of an Alpha Female and I want to dig into their lives to get some nuggets of knowledge to help us all live happier, healthier lives balancing life & work.

Definition of an Alpha Female

An Alpha Female is a powerful and assertive woman. Her confidence is due to being an intelligent and intellectual problem-solver. Being an Alpha Female is a State of Mind based on choosing ambition and being proud of it. She strives for a happy and healthy work/life harmony.

She is the brightest star in her constellation.  When an Alpha Female stays true to their authentic selves and their missions they shine.  An Alpha Female puts herself first so that she can fill up her cup and then have more energy for her friends, family, and coworkers. She strives for synergy with the world around her. She knows that work/life harmony is found by staying true to your priorities and what makes you happy. She is never complacent about striving for better and nurtures relationships with all the people in her life.

Meet Channa Bromley!

Channa Bromley is an Illumination Artist. She lights the path for men, women and children to take control of their bodies, minds and spirits, and to create balance and harmony in all aspects of their lives. Self-love is the gateway to creating a life of magic, wonder and light. Channa is a relationship counselor for singles with the World’s largest matchmaking firm. Through gentle and holistic methods, she has illuminated the way for many to find their source and to get out of the darkness…forever.
Channa is also the founder of Girls Talk, a movement to empower females of all ages encouraging self love, self esteem and community. In March 2016, the first video campaign was released and all money collected was donated to the Canadian Women’s Foundation for the ongoing support to help young women thrive.
And last but not least, Channa is driven to empower children by planting the seeds that blossom into understanding of the etheric body, interconnectedness, and multi-dimensions. Her forth-coming book “Isadora’s Journey” will be released this year.

What do you think of the definition and how are you an Alpha Female?

Your definition of Alpha female is moving. I’m happy it also resonates with me. I have a few different avenues career wise, the beauty is although separate from one another, the similarity is that I act as “an illumination artist”. I guide others to find that special zest for life again, to see the light, to step confidently onto their path. I believe that self-love is just the gateway to creating a life of magic, wonder, and light. As much as I love helping others, I am firstly committed to myself, I understand the importance of my own daily self-love practices in order to be a good role model and efficiently be in service to others. I love the analogy of being on a plane…in the case of emergency, passengers are always directed to put their own oxygen mask on first. Why? Because if they don’t, they will pass out, and then not be able to help anyone!

What are you most passionate about?

Romantic love, empowering women and children. I work as a relationship counselor for singles and a matchmaker. Additionally, I’m a metaphysical teacher for children through books and workshops. I also founded a female empowerment movement entitled Girls Talk.

What does work/life harmony look like for you?

When you love what you do it doesn’t feel like work, however, in the past I’ve been prone to burning the candles at both ends. Today, my number one priority is me. I take the time every day to do my self-love practices such as a workout in a way that gives me joy, I enjoy creating high vibrational meals, and spending time in spiritual practice, however, I feel called to on that particular day. I make time for friends and family often and ensure I myself am living a radiant life 🙂

Share with us a time when work/life balance was out of wack? What was your aha moment that taught you it was ok to take care of yourself first.

A year ago I worked for a different matchmaking firm. I would travel an hour to get to the office, be there 12 hours, travel home another hour, sleep and repeat. The people I was working for you did not operate from a place of integrity. I was miserable. I knew this firm and the people in it were not resonating with my spirit, I knew I was off my path. I did not have the time to commit to myself, I ended up becoming sick, developing an autoimmune illness… because my emotional, spiritual and physical needs were not being met. There is no career or paycheque that is worth your happiness and your health. Even though it was my security, I quit. I trusted the Universe would have my back. Best decision I ever made! My health is renewed, and every day I express gratitude to be doing what I love 🙂

How do you nourish yourself?

Movement is very important to me. I believe it’s a conversation between Source and the body. I LOVE to wake up, put on music and do cardio, whether it’s on the elliptical or dancing around in my condo.  I’m vegan and enjoy creating meals that include every color of the rainbow, I keep it high raw so that I’m consuming lots of wonderful nutrients. I’m an advocate of holistic health, every day I create a blend of essential oils that I use in diffuser while I work. For my spirit, I”m surrounded in my home office with crystals, oracle cards, I love writing and reading spiritual and personal development material, podcasts, I attend full moon ceremonies every month in addition to women’s circle where we share, dance, meditate together. I use tinctures that assist me on the emotional and metaphysical levels. I love using herbs, candles, incantations, etc. None of these practices feel like a chore, these are practices that nourish me, that I crave, that connect me to my highest self <3

What is your weekly fitness routine like?

It’s never the same. It’s really what I feel like doing each day. I am active in some way every day. I ALWAYS listen to my body. This may be cardio/weights in the gym, Buti yoga, which is really awesome, it combines yoga, hip hop music, tribal dance, Kundalini and raises Shakti feminine energy! I love HIIT home workouts, Vinyasa yoga, I use for my yoga sequences. In nice weather, I LOVE being outdoors in nature, taking a bike ride, going for a hike. My inner child loves to play so I also enjoy trampoline parks, indoor obstacles courses, mermaid fitness classes….my mom was a Jazzercise instructor, she had me in leg warmers and headbands since I was 4. I’m grateful because she taught me that being fit is fun and it’s also something that can be a social thing with friends 🙂

What are your daily habits for winding down at night and reducing stress?

Every night, I turn on my LED wave light, I light candles, burn sage, put a calming oil into the diffuser, write in my gratitude journal….depending on how my day went, I may read or if I choose to turn off my brain and I’ll unwind with the cheesiest romantic movie I can find lol

What are some pain points of being an Alpha Female that you have to problem solve for? 

A pain point for me has been with friends. I want to spend my free time in conscious creation, doing anything that will elevate my spirit….I feel like I live life differently than people I’m associated with. I am not judging, but honoring myself means only doing what is in alignment with me and unfortunately that means I see less of people who I used to be very close with. This has hurt feelings, I might be perceived as stuck up. Our lifestyles and choices just don’t mesh anymore. I am now asserting myself into women’s circles and meeting like-minded friends who are also on a mission to help women rise up.

What is your definition of happiness?

Happiness is when your daily thoughts and actions are in alignment with your soul’s purpose 🙂
