I have been using several different self-care products over the years, so I thought I would do a round-up post of my 3 self-care tools that are staples in my self-care routine. I’ve listed them from highest price tag to lowest!

Infrared Sauna
In 2021, when we moved back to Ottawa from the West Coast, I was 9 months postpartum after having twins in 2020 and wanted to splurge on an infrared sauna.
After a ton of research, we landed on a Sunlighten infrared sauna. I use this at least 2 – 3 times a week and love the relaxation, detox or pain management programs.
I tried to get a good photo of the sauna in the corner of our gym, but it currently has our kitchen backsplash tile leaning up against it.
Red Light
My next self-care tool is something I use every day. Every single morning, I plop myself down onto my meditation cushion, open up Insight Timer and pick a 5 – 10 min meditation. I flip on my Orion Red Light and set the timer for 30 minutes.
After my meditation, I’ll journal, read my daily devotional, a chapter in my Bible and at least 1 chapter in a book I’m reading. I might pull a card and pray as well.
Foot Massager
My newest addition to my self-care routine is the Mountrax foot massager. I had been gifted one during pregnancy, and we ended up selling it because we were trying to get rid of a few things before moving back across the country. So when Mountrax reached out asking if I’d like to try one, I jumped at the chance. I’ve set it up in my home office and give myself a 30 min foot massage every day during my work day!
I really like this one because I can choose between 15 and 30 mins, there are 3 kneading settings, 3 air compression settings and you can turn heat on or off.
If you’re looking for a Valentine’s Day present for your wife, it’s not incredibly romantic but I swear she’ll adore you. And it’s an easy way of getting out of having to massage her feet yourself 😉
