2026 Goals & Intentions

Happy New Year!

Before we start setting goals, I always decide how I want to feel in the upcoming year. My goals are then based on my core desired feelings.

And this year, I want to feel Delight, Ease, Impactful and Vibrant.

Now, let’s get into my 2026 goals and intentions.

2026 Core Desired Feelings

Ok so where in my life do I want to feel these core desired feelings?

Delight: When it comes to travel and my entrepreneurial businesses, I want to delight at seeing the world with my family, and I want to delight customers with my different offerings.

Ease: When it comes to my career, finances and my marriage with Mike, I want to move through the next year with ease.

Impactful: When it comes to my career choices and finances, I want to make an impact on this world and on the legacy I’m building for our family.

Vibrant: I’ve had vibrant as a core desired feeling when it comes to my health before and I thought it was time to bring it back.

So before writing this blog, I did a life audit using my Focus Framework goal-setting method found in my Essential Planner. After ranking them from lowest to highest, I then sat down and mapped out my life category goals for the year.

Travel

If you’ve been around here for a while, you’ll know that I like to book 3 trips a year. Due to us still being in the process of launching a business, we are going to keep it to 2 trips this year. We didn’t do any big trips last year, so I’m itching to travel again. The twins have been begging to go back to Alberta, where we went 2 years ago, so we’ve already booked that for this summer! And we’ve been researching other places to do stem cell treatments that are a bit more scenic than where Mike went in Mexico, so our honeymoon might be combined with a stem cell treatment for me in Lithuania!

1. Adventure Trip: Family Trip Back To Alberta!

2. Honeymoon/Relaxing Trip: Wellness Treatment Trip

In addition to these trips, we’ll travel to North Bay to visit family twice a year and then to our cottage up north for 4 long weekends in the summer and fall.

Career

My career goals for 2026 (outside of my full-time job) are:

  1. Launch Wild Escapes. This is the short-term rental business that we’ve been trying to establish on our land for the last year. At minimum, we want to get our skoolie and 2 glamping domes up and running next year.
  2.  Support newly diagnosed women with multiple sclerosis through my Thrive: Live Well With MS course
  3. Launch the 2027 Essential Planner edition
  4. Publish 2 children’s books and 1 colouring book

Finances

My financial goals for 2026 are:

  1. Map out our retirement savings plan
  2. Map out our savings plan for large purchases & travel
  3. Map out mortgage pay downs (on our primary residence and our rental property)

Friendships

My friendship goals for 2026 are:

  1. Monthly Dates: I have loved going out for coffee, dinners or walks with friends this year so I’ll continue to fill my friendship cup up this way.
  2. 6 Farmer’s Market Parties: This is where you invite friends over and everyone makes a batch of something with enough for everyone to bring a batch home. I figured every other month would be a good cadence for the year.

Leisure

My leisure goals for 2026 are:

  1. Deer Hunting in October/November
  2. Gardening this summer (which will require asking Mike to build a garden)
  3. Ballroom Dancing (once I’ve healed from my surgery, I can’t wait to be back taking lessons)

Health

My health goals for 2026 are:

  1. Follow a pelvic floor healing plan to heal from my multiple organ prolapse surgery at the end of 2025.
  2. I’ve been researching stem cell treatments for my MS, so I’ll be looking into travelling for this treatment.
  3. Once I’m cleared to lift weights again, I’m hoping to add at least 5 lbs of muscle
  4. I’ve been working on balancing my hormones with my naturopath, so I’ll continue to work on my supplement protocol to ensure my cycle is supported.
  5. I haven’t done a parasite cleanse since December 2024 so I’m hoping to bring these back, but done properly.

Fitness

My fitness goals for 2026 are:

  1. Properly rehab my pelvic floor so I can get back to lifting weights, dancing, and eventually running!
  2. Continue with morning workouts (a few early before the kids get up and a few once the kids wake up so we can work out together)
  3. Daily Walks (preferably outside, but I’ll opt for our treadmill in the winter if the weather is absolute crap)
  4. Hire my personal trainer again (we took a break while she was on maternity leave, and then I went into my prolapse surgery)

Nutrition

My nutrition goals for 2026 are:

  1. Increase protein intake to 145g / day
  2. Cook with Mike one dinner a week
  3. Create a master list of lunches for the kids to reduce decision fatigue in the morning when packing lunches.
  4. Create a master list of 4 weekly meal plans that we repeat monthly to reduce decision fatigue.
Can you see where Ease is built into my goals?

Home

My home goals for 2026 are:

  1. Organize and set up the twins’ playroom. It’s an absolute disaster right now.
  2. We used to have a secret gun room in our last house, so we are going to build a storage room in the new house for our firearms.
  3. I want to decorate my home office for content creation (ie. YouTube videos)
  4. I would love to get Mike to carve out time to build us our dining room table. While Mike is doing the work, I need to figure out how I can support Mike with the kids so he can carve out time to build the table in the garage.
  5. Once we establish the new Wild Escapes business, we want to start building our dream home on our property, so we’ll start planning the dream build next year.

Couple

My couple goals for 2026 are:

  1. Since moving out of the city, it’s been harder to get support in doing weekly date nights, so we’ll continue with monthly date nights where we drop the twins off at my parents for a sleepover.
  2. I want to create a date night master list to choose from so we can avoid decision fatigue when it’s time to pick what to do.
  3. Weekly Connection: we’ve decided that on Weds we are going to plug in our phones after the kids go to bed, no TV and connect. I want to nickname them Wedlock Weds, but Mike hates the name! Now taking alliteration ideas!
  4. Weekly Movie Night: We have been watching TV apart, so once a week we are going to watch a show or movie together. TV Tuesdays or Thursdays LOL.

Family

My family goals for 2026 are:

  1. Take an annual vacation together, as mentioned in travel, we’ll be heading back to Alberta
  2. We started our annual canoe trip back up 2 years ago with the twins, so I’m excited to plan a trip with at least 1 portage this year.
  3. I want to take daily walks as a family. Morning ones on days we have after school activities, and an after-dinner walk on days we don’t have evening activities after school.
  4. We love doing monthly solo dates with each twin. I have a reminder in my reminders app to book a Mom/Daughter | Dad/Son and Mom/Son | Dad/Daughter date every month. As mentioned in my year in review post, I’m going to make a list of things we can do with the twins that have costs/no costs so we can offer the kid’s options to choose from.
  5. We love completing seasonal bucket lists (winter and summer)
  6. This year I want to implement a weekly games night (I think we’ll try Mondays) and a weekly movie night (on Friday)

Spiritual

My spiritual goals for 2026 are:

  1. Try out a local church community where our new family friends attend to see if it might work for us.
  2. Continue morning routine that includes reading my daily devotional and a chapter of the Bible
  3. This year, I also want to include daily prayer in my evening routine before bed.
